Just a quick post about what we have been up to over the last few weeks after the GNCCF.
It’s been half term for us so there has been a bit of juggling going on – as I’m sure all parents, grandparents and step parents are all experiencing at the moment, added to this, the flu bug struck and refused to move for a few days, resulting in very slow brain function for a few days!
On the mend now and this week we have been moving into our shiny new office, complete with fabulous full length cupboards (it’s amazing how little things can be soooo pleasing!), we are now stocked in The Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge. The Heart Gallery have been supporting and showcasing the best British talent since 2006 and we are delighted to be part of their Christmas showcase this year. The Gallery work with a similar ethos to The Stitch Society, local, quality and respectful always of customers and suppliers, they have been a delight to work with and we hope it is the beginning of a long and happy partnership. Also on the cards, Charlotte is taking part in the Make It British Forum at Manchester Metropolitan University on Thursday 2nd November. Make It British are another great organisation who support UK manufacturing with social media, events and great offers and promotions. The event is ticket only and can be bought through their website which is well worth a look, and if you are in manufacturing they are worth looking into.
Finally, The Stitch Society are featured in The Simple Things magazine this month and you can win one of our denim Susie Pinafore aprons in their competition – CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS. We are chuffed to bits to be featured in one of our favourite magazines who are all about taking time to live well, celebrate slowing down, enjoying what you have, making the most of where you live, enjoying the company of friends and family, and feeding them well. Celebrating the small things we do will make a difference in the long run – whether that’s making, upcycling, growing, cooking, escaping or relaxing and we were delighted to meet their editor, Lisa Sykes at the Great Northern Fair.
Whether you are out and about this weekend, enjoying a magazine, spending time at home catching up, have a lovely weekend from us all at The Stitch Society
