Stitch Society Artisan Workwear

Simple. Stylish. Durable.

We make workwear.

Designed with makers in mind.

Simple, well tested workwear.

Stylish, quality workwear.

Durable and designed to last.

After struggling to find stylish and practical workwear, we made our own.

That is how we started. When other makers started asking where we had bought our workwear, we made a few for them too, and a few more and a few more.

The Stitch Society grew from our passion for comfortable and durable workwear, a desire to make all our range in the UK from UK manufactured fabrics and a need to create sustainable, durable workwear with minimal impact.

This has been our mission from the start and our commitment to this remains as strong today as it ever was.

Simple because form follows function, comfort is our priority which is why we only design cross back aprons as their comfort is legendary, especially for those working in the disciplines of ceramics and jewellery.

Stylish because if you look good, you feel good.

By investing in our range, you are investing in yourself, your work and your business.

Durable because we hate waste. Why buy an apron a year when you can buy one to last you 10years or more?

Mending, repairing and repurposing and an integral part of our philosophy.

Buy Once, Buy Well.

Our customers are the heart of our business so please share your Stitch Society artisan workwear with everyone on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

  1. Hi Charlotte
Loved reading your article on the Make it British site.
I’m working on the marketing and place making of The Piece Hall in Halifax, and the re opening of it after a £20 million renovation. As you probably know it has huge textile heritage, and I wondered if there was any merit in us meeting up to discuss your project, and maybe some tie ins? I created a project called Totally Locally which has travelled the world and is about promoting local businesses and manufacturing, so it’s a subject close to my heart.
Let me know if you would like to come over and visit – it’s pretty spectacular! And we can see if there is anything we could do together. Best Wishes, Chris
