The Stitch Society have had a fantastic few months but our most exciting news is that we won Small Business of the Year at the Keighley and Airedale Business Awards

We are over the moon to have won and were also shortlisted for the New Business of the Year. The awards have been running for 4 years and cover a whole range of different business categories.

We have also been featured in the Bradford Telegraph & Argus with an article entitled “A Stitch In Time…” which talks about our business and our work with Keighley College in setting up their Textile Academy.

The last few months have seen The Stitch Society popping up all over the place! We took part in the Makers Fair as part of the Festival of Making in Blackburn which was an amazing event. It was the first time they had run it and the whole event was a huge success, so we hope to back there next May.

We were also invited to talk at the Meet the Manufacturer exhibition I at the Truman Brewery in London and the end of May. This event, run by Kate Hills of Make it British, is an absolute must for anyone who is in the textile industry. It is a fantastic event not only for networking but also for the range of talks that Kate organises every year. Well worth a visit next year!

We were also at Saltaire Arts Trail Makers Fair at the end of May, which was great being just up the road from our office!

Over the next few months we have more lovely events in the offing, more of which we will tell you about later.

Until then, a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last year or so, thanks you to anyone who has bought any of our aprons, liked our social media posts or just mentioned us to a friend. We are extremely grateful and know that without our customers there would be no Stitch Society!

Thank you

Charlotte
