We absolutely love a good Makers’ Fair and have been lucky enough to have been selected for the Crafty Fox Market at Roco Creative Coop in Sheffield on the 26th November and the Selvedge Makers’ Fair on the 3rd December at St Augustine’s Church Hall, Highgate, London N6 5BB.

The Weekend of the Maker is a collaboration between Folksy, Crafty Fox Market and creative hub Roco to celebrate makers across the UK. The event will explore the many elements that go into being a maker today – from hands-on craft workshops and business development sessions in Roco’s makerspace, to a craft fair featuring more than 40 designers and makers in the BL_NK SPACE gallery. The event runs from 10-5 on Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile in London, The Selvedge Advent Festival runs from Saturday the 26th November with their MERCHANTS’ FAIR at St Augustine’s Church Hall, Highgate, London N6 5BB, a fair full of collectors, curators and connoisseurs of fabrics, products and techniques from around the world, exploring the international textile market, the finest of traditional fabrics and haberdashery.

The festival continues all week with a variety of workshops and wraps up the week-long series of festive textile treats, with Makers’ Fair, hosting a selection of thirty makers selling all sorts from handwoven baskets to  jewellery and fashion. Come along to browse the truly tempting range of handcrafted products; hand-dyed, hand printed, hand stitched and hand woven to the highest standard of craftsmanship.

As part of the promotion of the Selvedge Advent Festival, we have been lucky enough to be featured on the Selvedge Blog this month, with the gorgeous Becca Ketteman modelling our aprons – well worth a visit.

Have a fabulous week and hope you  can make it to one of our events, please come and say hello if you do,

Charlotte
